Just about every food critic has been banging on about Coombeshead Farm in Launceston since it was opened in 2016 by the chefs Tom Adams and April Bloomfield in deepest Cornwall. The five-bedroom guest house, restaurant and bakery (you can learn how to make sourdough bread while you’re here) set in 66 acres of meadows, woodland and streams offers pared-back dining and a purity of flavour — think onion and porcino broth, duck sausage and jostaberry pavlova.
